Personally, I play soothing music while moving to my body's instincts while I meditate. Am I doing anything wrong?

how to meditate
I meditate best when I am really tired after physical activity.
Whatever works for you.

There’s many different kinds of meditation. In Buddhist meditation, music plays no role whatsoever in meditation.

I think the key is relaxation. And being where you are at the moment.

Meditation methods differ. Usually the mind and body need to be quiet in order to experience the shift between dimensions that deep meditation brings. If you are only looking for a way to relax after a stressful day, then do what you are doing. If you are looking to connect with the Higher Self and the Higher Plain, then you need to start concentrating on the Buddhist method of meditation.

In my opinion, meditation just requires you to be able to block out the chaotic sounds of today and go to a place in your mind where you can actually find peace and not be pressured to feel any different.

No, it is just easier to empty your mind when you are. Hypnosis is just a form of meditation.

It may help to listen to sounds of nature or music that has no rhythm or something unfamiliar. It’s easier to ‘tune out’ and achieve better focus that way instead of unconsciously focusing on the rhythm of the music.
Just a suggestion!
